There are two new plugins in the Jomres plugin manager that benefit from changes introduced in Jomres 10.2. The plugins allow us to have different property details and list properties layouts.

Property details templates plugin for Bootstrap 5

The new Bootstrap 5 property details templates plugin allows site managers ( and if allowed then also property managers ) to choose different property details templates to be used on the property details page.

Once you have installed the BS5 property details template plugin go to Admin > Jomres > Settings > Site Configuration and you'll see a new tab "Property details templates". From there you can configure the new default template, plus whether or not you'll allow property managers to set their own layout.

I was going to include some screenshots but to be honest they don't really do the layouts justice so instead I'll link to the Work In Progress Joomla 4 demo so you can see them for yourselves.

Default This is the default Joomla 4/Bootstrap 5 property details layout.

Luxury This template retains the sidebar tabs, but uses a new carousel slideshow which, when placed within a fluid container will stretch to fit the entire page. Property features are included in the main (hero?) section and the book now button and javascript calendars are sticky on the side of the page.

Dynamo This template does away with almost all tabs altogether, opting instead to produce the output in a flat format.

Minimalist This template includes just the slideshows as in the previous examples, but then only includes the property's terms and conditions output.

Calendar only This template, just like the name suggests, simply produces an availability calendar on the property details page.

List properties templates plugin for Bootstrap 5

Like the previous plugin, this one can be configured in the administrator area site configuration to use different list property templates. These are the templates that are used when displaying search results.

List properties layouts come in two flavours. Basic lists, and photo layouts. This plugin provides two alternatives for each flavour.

List layout, default This layout is the default list that comes with Jomres Core.

List layout, minimalist This layout does away with a lot of the stuff in the default layout.

List layout, box This template/layout is similar to the previous one but it's designed for a very narrow area so it's ideal for example to be used as a shortcode on an article page.

Photo layout, default This layout is the default photo display that comes with Jomres Core.

Photo layout, small thumbs This layout allows us to cram more results on a page by linking to smaller thumbnail images.

Photo layout, large images This layout is good if you want a more "in your face" set of search results.

ABOUT US

vince picDeveloped and maintained by Vince Wooll, Jomres was initially conceived in early 2005 as a Mambo based solution to a client’s hotel management needs. While it wasn't originally expected to be an online booking system it quickly morphed into one as users requested more and more features.

As the number of feature requests grew Vince knew that he would need to dedicate more time to the project and in July 2005 Jomres was released as a commercial project. Since then Jomres has become the world's oldest online booking plugin for any PHP CMS. It has been used in Joomla 1.0, 1.5, 2.5, 3 & 4 and WordPress 4, 5 & 6.

Aladar joined the project in 2010 after using Jomres for his own projects. He was active on the forum, helping other members of the community and eventually Vince invited him to join the team. Between 2010 and 2018 he was an integral part of the project and made many significant contributions.

Whilst not formally part of the Jomres project, Rodrigo Rocco and Vince have become firm friends. Rod is a freelancer who specialises in doing custom work for Jomres users and developing custom plugins for the system that take advantage of it's modular design. He has built many useful extensions including his fabulous Valentina Template Override Package.
