I assume that your license has expired, or you've not entered your license key into Site Configuration. Once you do that you'll be able to download plugins.

Thanks again

My license is valid (I have done the 9.9.0 upgrade) but for a reason, after some time it is displayed as not valid. I re-entered it and not I see installation buttons.

user_option_03_reglink is no longer there?

I need to hide Registration from login button.

We do not want to allow registration, only users that have completed a reservation are registered automatically.
In the previous version, I had set user_option_03_reglink to Registered so it was hidden.

Any idea?

Thanks

Submit a ticket and verify with Vince that your license is valid. If your license is valid and you entered it in the correct place, your problem is solved.

Thanks Mark
Yes, the problem is solved.

Now I am trying to find the way to disable -Registration- from the login button.
In the previous version, I have done it through Access level, but now I don't see it anymore there.

I am not sure what you are talking about.
There are many ways to Register:
Quick Register
Joomla Login
Jomres Selfregister Asamodule

At the Menu bar, there is a Login. On hover it displays Register and Login. I would like to hide Register.
For the time, I have set Allow User Registration = No from Joomla User Manager .
So, when you click on Register you are directed to Login page. But this may be confusing. I prefer to hide the option.

At the previous version I have done that by setting access level of user_option_03_reglink = registered, so eventually I have hidden it from all guests.

I do not want to start a new post but this issue has not being resolved or explained.

Again in versions lower then 9.9 you had the options in the access control settings called :

00009user_option_03_reglink
00009user_option_03_login

These option do not show in the 9.9 access control settings.

The goal is to hide the menu bar on the listing page with the links register and login wish you where able to hide by setting :

00009user_option_03_reglink
00009user_option_03_login

to registered.

I hope we can get an answer to this issue

Make sure you're running the latest version ( 9.9.4 to date ) and that Access Control is installed.

Note the "cms" in the search field at the right, use that to find the two menu options.

Vince,

Thanks for that, I will try this when I get 9.9.4 running.

I have updated and is crashed my whole site. Lucky it was the dev site.

Here are issues with 9.9.4

The whole site will not load, blank page on any page with message: Error displaying the error page

We cannot see even errors via Firebug

Of course the argument always is we do something wrong but we simple update Jomre

It's possible that it's caused by a bug we inadvertently introduced by trying to keep the codebase neat and tidy.

In 9.9 the language files got a huge facelift, approximately 35k lines of older definitions that are no longer used were removed from the language files.

One of those lines included a function that's no longer used. It's no longer in the language files, however it *can* still be in older "property type" specific language files.

This resolves it

Vince,

sorry to say not fixed the issue when I add the code as recommended.

I have tried with the default Joomla Template and it seem fine. I use a standard Rockettheme template with the latest Gantry framework.

As it works fine on 9.9.3. I cannot see the reason it is related to the template. Debug seem hard as there is only a blank page with message: Error displaying the error page

Gee, that's not very helpful is it?

Just to make it clear, Gantry works fine with 9.9.3 but not 9.9.4?

These are the 9.9.4 changes github.com/WoollyinWalesIT/jomres/pull/177

Yes, Gantry works fine with 9.9.3 but not 9.9.4

running 9.9.3 where fine with Gantry. I only updated Jomres and boom. Not only Jomres pages but the whole site.

The homepage is not the default Jomres menu but even this is not loading. It has some Jomres module on this page

Hope that helps

Well, you can try setting the staging site up to output full debugging messages, that might help.

Set debug system to Yes snippets.jomres.net/2017-06-16_9g417.png

and Error reporting to Development snippets.jomres.net/2017-06-16_bix5r.png

That might give you something a bit more meaningful than Gantry saying "Oops, and oops again".

Vince,

I track it down to modules we used with Jomres like coupon and last minute we use. All fine until 9.9.3.

This line you have removed from the function file which course the problems on my site and not let the whole site load.
/**
 * Constructs the mrConfig data when passed a property uid. $mrConfig is read in first to set up mrConfig in the event that property settings haven't been configured previously (eg during an import).
 */
function getSiteSettings()
{
    $siteConfig = jomres_singleton_abstract::getInstance('jomres_config_site_singleton');
    $jrConfig = $siteConfig->get();

    return $jrConfig;
}

Hope that helps other users who use modules there not provided by Jomres

Ok, so you have some file customisations that included the calls to the old, removed functions?

not really customizations. There are modules from www.odys.biz like Jomres Last Minute module and Coupon modules.

All where fine until 9.9.3.

Hi,
since the new version, the receptionist can’t view the reservation when they clic on the timeline.
Nothing append.
When they use bookings – List Booking, and clic see the detail of a booking, they come back to “Control Panel”.
I have made some change of the parameters some years ago, but now, when I active “Access Control” all the parameters are “Default”. But impossible to know which is default: registred, reception, manager, super manager, etc.
What can I do to get the same parameters than before?
Regard
Philippe

Have you previously made changes to template & core files and put them in the appropriate folders and now after upgrade, not updated the previously changed files?

Hi Glenanpl

It would seem the microcomponent file j06002edit_booking.class.php is the problem.

Change at row 17 from class j06002edit_booking to read class j06001edit_booking

Rename the file to be j06001edit_booking.class.php

Rebuild the micro registry.

You will now be able to select the Receptionist option in Access Control.

Vince & Aladar are now aware of this & will probably amend the core in a future release.

ABOUT US

Vince portrait smallaladar

Developed and maintained by Vince Wooll and Aladar Barthi, Jomres was initially conceived in early 2005 as a Mambo based solution to a client’s hotel management needs. While it wasn't originally expected to be an online booking system it quickly morphed into one as users requested more and more features.

As the number of feature requests grew Vince knew that he would need to dedicate more time to the project and in July 2005 Jomres was formally released as a commercial project. Since then, Jomres has become one of Mambo’s, and now Joomla’s, longest running projects. It has survived various versions of Mambo, then Joomla 1.0, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 2.5 and 3.

Aladar joined the project in 2010 after using Jomres for his own projects. He was active on the forum, helping other members of the community and eventually Vince invited him to join the team. He has since become an integral part of the project and has contributed significantly to it's development over the years.

Whilst not formally part of the Jomres project, Rodrigo Rocco and the team have become firm friends. Rod is a freelancer who specialises in doing custom work for Jomres users and developing custom plugins for the system that take advantage of it's modular design. He has built many useful extensions including his fabulous new Valentina Template Package.
