Hello Jomres users and development team, we're stuck trying to find where we can assign allotments (# of rooms available) for each room type for each of our clients. I searched online too and found this screenshot that shows a prior version of Jomres where people choose Property config/Tariffs & rooms and have the option of configuring the "number of rooms available" (see attachment), but I can't seem to find this in the current Jomres. Anybody know where I can find it?

Thanks a lot

The bottom image in that screenshot is for when you are in Normal tariff editing mode.

If you use Micromanage or Advanced then in Settings > Rooms you can see the Create multiple rooms option here snippets.jomres.net/2018-04-27_h74h5.png

We tried with the "Create multiple rooms" option, but it creates a large number of separate rooms.

We have a Standard room (it's a hotel) which we've created, now we just need to tell the system we have an allotment of 30 rooms for this unit type, we do not need to create a long list of "Standard" rooms.

Is there a way, as shown in the initial screenshot. Is there a "Tariffs and rooms" section as shown?

We are using the micromanage setting.

Thanks beforehand.

I think what you're looking for is the "Available rooms/tariff limit" setting in the Booking Form section of the Property Configuration page.

Set that to 1 to show just one room of each type/tariff combination.

You still need one virtual room for each "real" room, but that setting determines how many of each room is shown in the booking form Available Rooms area.

ABOUT US

Vince portrait smallaladar

Developed and maintained by Vince Wooll and Aladar Barthi, Jomres was initially conceived in early 2005 as a Mambo based solution to a client’s hotel management needs. While it wasn't originally expected to be an online booking system it quickly morphed into one as users requested more and more features.

As the number of feature requests grew Vince knew that he would need to dedicate more time to the project and in July 2005 Jomres was formally released as a commercial project. Since then, Jomres has become one of Mambo’s, and now Joomla’s, longest running projects. It has survived various versions of Mambo, then Joomla 1.0, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 2.5 and 3.

Aladar joined the project in 2010 after using Jomres for his own projects. He was active on the forum, helping other members of the community and eventually Vince invited him to join the team. He has since become an integral part of the project and has contributed significantly to it's development over the years.

Whilst not formally part of the Jomres project, Rodrigo Rocco and the team have become firm friends. Rod is a freelancer who specialises in doing custom work for Jomres users and developing custom plugins for the system that take advantage of it's modular design. He has built many useful extensions including his fabulous new Valentina Template Package.
