Fix bug at home search module

8 months 2 weeks ago #46984 by Vaggelis
I am facing a small bug at the home search module, where no letters/numbers or characters are showing. It happened after an update of all plugins, after a fresh install of Jomres.

I did not coded anything. I uninstalled and installed again the 7 search modules. I also receive in error reporting:
Notice: Undefined offset: 1 in /home/holidamy/public_html/jomres/libraries/jomres/cms_specific/joomla3/cms_specific_functions.php on line 345

Notice: Undefined index: pricerange_increments in /home/holidamy/public_html/jomres/libraries/jomres/classes/jomSearch.class.php on line 163

Notice: Undefined index: selectcombo in /home/holidamy/public_html/jomres/libraries/jomres/classes/jomSearch.class.php on line 164
What changes did you make to the search module?

Hello again!
I apologize for double posting, I also have send a ticket for that. I know... but I have to fix it ASAP. I am posting that in public in order to find if anyone has faced that again, because it is so simple...

This is my third clean installation (at a reseller account) It was clean and search was working fine like everything. I installed that only to check the module.

Without even modifying ANYTHING, I just opened module manager, and chose the module checkbox " Frontpage Search EN/ES "

Then I clicked on Duplicate on top. ONLY THAT!

And the search module again is not showing characters.

PS I uploaded and runed the latest Jomres quickstart.

After support reply, the solution is NOT to duplicate the Search Modules. Thanks!

Developed and maintained by Vince Wooll and Aladar Barthi, Jomres was initially conceived in early 2005 as a Mambo based solution to a client’s hotel management needs. While it wasn't originally expected to be an online booking system it quickly morphed into one as users requested more and more features.

As the number of feature requests grew Vince knew that he would need to dedicate more time to the project and in July 2005 Jomres was formally released as a commercial project. Since then, Jomres has become one of Mambo’s, and now Joomla’s, longest running projects. It has survived various versions of Mambo, then Joomla 1.0, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 2.5 and 3.

Aladar joined the project in 2010 after using Jomres for his own projects. He was active on the forum, helping other members of the community and eventually Vince invited him to join the team. He has since become an integral part of the project and has contributed significantly to it's development over the years.

Whilst not formally part of the Jomres project, Rodrigo Rocco and the team have become firm friends. Rod is a freelancer who specialises in doing custom work for Jomres users and developing custom plugins for the system that take advantage of it's modular design. He has built many useful extensions including his fabulous new Valentina Template Package.
