Here I'd like to let you know about my plans for Joomla 3 support.

Joomla.org will stop supporting Joomla 3.10 on the 17th August, 2023.

Because Jomres is CMS agnostic, it will be able to continue working on Joomla 3 into the future, so if you absolutely must use Joomla 3 and can't move over to Joomla 4, you will still be able to use Jomres (including future versions).

This comes with some caveats. I'm no longer testing changes in Bootstrap 2 or Bootstrap 3 based Jomres template files. Likewise, most new plugins aren't supplied with templates tested on Bootstrap 3. Some plugins are introduced that specifically use Bootstrap 5 features, and will be of no use to you on Bootstrap 3 sites, however some are not.

An example of this is the new Search Form Elements plugin. This plugin is delivered with Bootstrap 2 and 3 template sets, however they're simply copies of the Bootstrap 5 templates and I have not and will not update them to work in lower versions of Bootstrap. If you're absolutely married to a Joomla 3 based site (which almost certainly uses Bootstrap 3 for layout) you can use the Site Designer and Developer Guide on how to create overrides for plugin template files, and then backport the markup in them to work in Bootstrap 3.

This stance will continue for the forseeable future. There may come a time when it's impossible for Jomres to work within Joomla 3, but because of how it's structured, that's likely a long way into the future.
