Users in Jomres

There are, generally, three types of user in Jomres.

Guests.

They can be either registered users (in which case, any bookings they create will be remembered and they will be able to view past bookings) or non-registered users.

Property Managers.

Whilst Jomres offers a lower level user called Receptionist, this class of user is generally not utilised. Instead, the vast majority of managers are normal property managers. They have property and guest editing rights only for properties that they have created or been assigned to in the Show Profiles feature.

Super Property Managers.

A super property manager is a trusted user, normally a site administrator, who has property manager rights over all properties in the system, regardless of whether or not they created those properties or have been assigned to them. They will have rights to see and use functionality that normal property managers will not.

You can change somebody from a basic user to a property manager or super property manager via the Property managers feature.

Property managers menu option

Note : If a normal manager has not been assigned to at least one property, if they try to log in they will see an error on their screen and they will be logged out. This is a security feature, as we can't let Jomres guess which property the user has access rights to.
