A webhook in web development is a method of augmenting or altering the behavior of a web page, or web application, with custom callbacks. These callbacks may be maintained, modified, and managed by third-party users and developers who may not necessarily be affiliated with the originating website or application. The term "webhook" was coined by Jeff Lindsay in 2007 from the computer programming term hook.[1]
Jomres Core includes a feature called Webhooks. This feature allows the Jomres installation to inform remote services that certain actions have been performed on a property in a Jomres installation. Think of them as little postcards sent to other servers when something is done, like creating a property, making a booking, etc.
This feature should be considered as a companion to the REST API functionality, which receives messages from remote services. Together the two systems can be used to facillitate communications between systems that don't require direct actions by users.

You can also create your own, instructions are in the manual, if you have a particular service that you want to connect to and we don't already have a webhook plugin for it.
