Jomres 9.9.8 is available and it brings a couple of significant improvements.

The first is regarding property approvals. A feature request asked that we make it possible for site admins to see which properties had completed their property setup and give some visual indication of that in the administrator area property list. This would prevent site administrators from needing to constantly check on the progress of properties that are slow to get setup.

approvals

The change : When the Sanity Checks (the yellow rows with hints of what to configure next) are visible to a manager, then we know that the property will need to be approved or reapproved. In the administrator area, any properties that have not been completed have a red badge, properties that have been completed will have an orange one. Property managers will see the same pattern in their own property list pages in the frontend.

Whenever a property has been marked unapproved, then once it has been re-approved it will need to be published again by the manager, therefore you need to be aware of this.

The second change is an oft requested one : Video tutorials.

video tutorials

Administrator area and manager frontend now have video tutorials that are context sensitive, so if there's a video for a given page, then you'll be able to watch it in a modal on that page. I've added about 20 videos so far, they don't have any voice or text, making them multi-lingual. Each video has a title and introductory text, which is pulled from a language file in /jomres/language/video_tutorials. To translate this text you would copy that en-GB.php file and name the copy for the new language, for example es-ES.php. Once you have done that you can translate the text to something that is suitable for your clients.

Both front and backend also have pages where all the videos can be seen. Which videos are shown depends on the property, if it's a hotel type property then one set of videos are visible, if it's an apartment/villa then a slightly different set.

This feature, like so many others in Jomres, has been designed to support plugins, therefore in the future plugins will also be able to offer video tutorials (Jintour videos will be available soon, for example).

There are a couple of other changes relating to the UI.
