Jomres 9.11.0 has been released. This version includes tools that help you to ensure that your sites are GDPR compliant.

There are significant changes to how guest and manager details are stored, all details are now securely encrypted when "at rest" in the database. I have tested Jomres as thoroughly as I can however as always I advise you to first make a backup of your site before you run any updates, and ideally test the update on a staging/development server before applying the same changes to your live server.

If  you've been following my blog posts these last few weeks you will see that I have described in detail a variety of changes that have been made to Jomres to make it compatible with the GDPR. These changes include opt-in/opt-out records, guest and manager data encryption and lots of other features.

It will not go into detail here, you can see a more complete description of the changes on the GDPR page in the manual.

Joomla and WordPress are in the process of producing hooks for extensions and I will release companion plugins for Jomres as and when they are available, meaning that Jomres will be able to be triggered by the host CMS's functionality as well it's own built-in functionality.
