This is a significant release as it includes some sexy new stuff like Stripe being built into the free Core (Woot!) and some plugins are now available to download for free through the Jomres plugin manager.

So, let's get started....

Stripe Standard payment gateway added to Core, free, gratis.

Jomres has had a Stripe plugin for several years, it was designed to allow sharing of funds between property managers and site owners. As a result it is more complex to setup than a normal payment gateway plugin. Over the summer I worked on a new Stripe plugin called Stripe Standard, which is purely for property managers, there's no fee-sharing/platform fees handling in it, and I decided to do something that I've wanted to do for ages now and include the payment gateway in the Core. The old platform plugin still exists but I'll be renaming it to Stripe Platform sometime soon.

Plugin Manager now supports free plugins

Another something I've wanted to do for a while is offer free plugins through the Jomres plugin manager. I want the REST API to gain more traction, it's comprehensive, powerful and secure so it makes sense to offer these plugins so that everybody can use them. Now you don't need a license to install the plugin manager, and some plugins are already available. I'm considering adding the Jomres Messaging System to that list.

API Key management page also has received some love, you can view existing tokens if they exist, expire them and there's cool "copy keys to clipboard" buttons.

Jomres Messaging System

There have been a variety of tweaks added to the Core to support the new Jomres Messaging System. This is a significant new Instant Messaging feature which I think will really set Jomres apart from the competition. I will probably add this plugin to the list of free plugins available.

Usability improvements

I've been working a lot recently on finding where users are hitting roadblocks when using Jomres. There're a host of changes which hopefully remove these roadblocks and make Jomres easier to use.

Tons more changes. Github says 114k lines added, 77k lines removed. I don't know how true that is but I do know that it's been a heck of a lot of work recently.

I hope you enjoy the changes.
