There are two methods you can use to install Jomres. Which one you choose depends on how well you know Jomres.

Jomres is a bit like a kit car, which you can use to build your own super roadster, it's filled with tools and tricks that you can use to build a really powerful property booking website. The problem with this is if you are unfamiliar with the system then you can find that it takes a long time to completely build a fully functioning site.

If you want to build a full featured online booking site for anything that's rented or hired by the day or night, then you are probably considering purchasing a full license for Jomres. If that's the case then we recommend that you take the Quickstart route, even if you're a designer who's building a site for a client. If you simply want a free booking engine without any bells or whistles, then you can still use the free Core system.

Quickstart Installation

The Quickstart method is the one we recommend to all of our new users, as that contains a complete installation of Jomres, already setup and ready to go. This is the best method to use if you are new to Jomres, as it allows you to setup a site and hit the ground running. Once you're setup you can then look into changing the site to suit your own specific requirements.

When you visit the download area for your license you will find that you have 4 files to choose from, 2 for Wordpress and 2 for Joomla. If you want to build a booking site like AirBNB or Booking.com where you list multiple properties and have one or more property managers then choose the Portal flavour, if however you are building a booking website for a single property, then choose the Hotel option.

Install from Web

The next method is the Install from Web approach. Jomres works in both Joomla and Wordpress, and both of these have an Install from Web feature.

Joomla : Extensions > Manage > Install
Wordpress : Plugins > Add New

 Search for "Jomres", click on the Install button then follow the onscreen instructions.
